About The Series
At its core, the Park Slope Food Coop is about cooperation and teamwork — an alternative to top-down, profit-oriented spaces, and a place where we can celebrate the strengths of our own community. That community — our membership — spans far & wide, reaching all five boroughs & 17,000 members.
The PSFC Concert Series digs deeper into that celebration, showcasing the rich diversity of talent and creativity and stories of our members. Featuring 20 min sets from four different sets of performers each month, the PSFC Concert Series is the best kind of variety show or showcase — an eclectic, multifaceted mix of homegrown performances that will add new sounds & stories to your day, and invariably add unexpected dimensions to your Coop experience, eg. the people you see in the aisles or at the checkout counter or on your cart walk home.
These concerts are meant to deepen, delight, surprise and celebrate this community (and beyond this community) — you won’t know what surprises await you each month, but they will surely delight and enrich you. And in the process, we continue to strengthen the cooperation and teamwork that exemplifies the Coop.
Open to musicians, storytellers, comedians, writers, dancers, visual artists, performers of any kind!
